ACCORDING TO JOE BIDEN: A VOTE FOR OBAMA IS A VOTE FOR AN INTERNATIONAL CRISIS
Full article here
Bidens statement:
“Mark my words,” the Democratic vice presidential nominee warned at the second of his two Seattle fundraisers Sunday. “It will not be six months before the world tests Barack Obama like they did John Kennedy. The world is looking. We’re about to elect a brilliant 47-year-old senator president of the United States of America. Remember I said it standing here if you don’t remember anything else I said. Watch, we’re gonna have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy.”
“I can give you at least four or five scenarios from where it might originate,” Biden said to Emerald City supporters, mentioning the Middle East and Russia as possibilities. “And he’s gonna need help. And the kind of help he’s gonna need is, he’s gonna need you – not financially to help him – we’re gonna need you to use your influence, your influence within the community, to stand with him. Because it’s not gonna be apparent initially, it’s not gonna be apparent that we’re right.”
To all of the undecideds out there…..which speaks to you more?…Obama’s promise of wealth spreading (i.e socialism)….or Biden’s assurance that we will be attacked due to the inexperience of Senator Obama?….

Not only wll Obama bring international problems, he will bring domestic problems. Anyone who believes any of his hopey/changey promises is deluded. I’m glad I am old, but I fear for the future of my Grandchildren. It may be better if they never have kids themselves, for the future is bleak for the world. If the Muslims take over (and they already are in some areas of Europe), women will face forms of slavery, and productivity will be at a standstill. Iran with nuclear bombs will do more harm to the environment than any carbon pollution blamed on the West. We won’t be trading with China, for no one will be prosperous to buy items beyond food, which will become controlled by a socialist/marxist regime. The white members of Congress will eventually be a minority clinging to their offices by adhering to a corrupt dictator’s demands.

OH GOSH….Joe scares me!! He doesn’t scare me with his statement..he scares me when he says obama could be president.

I’ll go on the record with a prediction. Obama brings a number of anti-Israel advisors on board, and sharply reduces the level of US-Israeli co-operation. Syria/Iran/Hezballah/Hamas launches an attack, and Obama intervenes on their side.
Basically, Israel gets thrown under the bus. One of his advisors is Samantha Power, who has advocated invading Israel with US forces. Another is Gen. Merrill “Tony” McPeak, who thinks US policy is being made in NYC and Miami.
The crisis causes a huge uproar in the states, and it isn’t clear that Obama was “right.” Just my $0.02

Joe,
Sounds like your reading from a script.

Yes, Obama is going to be the worst, most awful, hideous president in history if he’s elected … you know, because throwing Japanese-descended Americans in internment camps was a noble act, and allowing for treating blacks like fifth-class citizens for nearly 100 years after the end of the civil war (and continuing to largely do so, albeit in less overt ways) … FDR is widely hailed as one of our greatest presidents, despite that his SOCIALIST policies were what helped drag the country out of a DEPRESSION. And he’s also the one who locked up the Japanese-Americans … but that’s okay; history says he’s a great guy despite. Maybe because he’s a white Christian. Because being Christian obviously isn’t enough in Obama’s case; he’s got a funny sounding name with Arabic roots. He must be a dang Muslim! And as so, he must hate Jews! Yes! Inference and conjecture are all we need!

He and Michelle will be in Kenya with cousin, Odinga with our nuclear codes, as his terrorist buddies run over us like a steamroller.

to me that sounded like Biden telling everyone, “hey we know we are going to suck, but stick with us anyway.” what kind of arrogant fool is he?
October 20, 2008 at 8:45 pm
Give me a break,, Give me a break and go pedal your Obamabot taling points elsewhere.
October 20, 2008 at 9:28 pm
GIVE ME A BREAK:
i dont think FDR was a good president. i consider myself a new democrat but the new deal policies SUCKED. IT WAS WWII that got us out of the depression because there was a need for jobs that the war created. Go back to high school, you probably went to a bad one that people like Obama would rather have you stuck in then get vouchers

Thank you Joe Biden.
I believe, in light of Bidens’ remarks, that John McCain is clearly the man for the job seeing how within six months, says prognosticator Biden, the “world” is going to “test his (Obamas’) mettle.”
It’s clear then;
Elect McCain so that the world can rethink their timetable of testing anyones mettle.
This is a wonderful foreign policy endorsement for McCains’ proven experience. Thank you, Sen. Biden for validating what was already known.
“I’ve forgotten more about foreign policy than most of my colleagues know.”
And he’s a heartbeat away from the Presidency.
“I probably shouldn’t have said all this because it dawned on me that the press is here,” he joked.
Wow.
October 21, 2008 at 2:19 am
“There are gonna be a lot of you who want to go, ‘Whoa, wait a minute, yo, whoa, whoa, I don’t know about that decision’,” Biden continued. “Because if you think the decision is sound when they’re made, which I believe you will when they’re made, they’re not likely to be as popular as they are sound. Because if they’re popular, they’re probably not sound.”
Can anybody follow this?
It sounds a little like “Dr. Seuss Goes Campaigning.”

Vote for Mccain for the sake of America and the FREE World, and then support the man…we were all behind Bush around 9/11 weren’t we?… and forgive me, but I couldn’t see Gore doing nearly as well as Bush did through the “first wave of attacks” we have suffered…I do think America has already forgotten 9-11…if this election had been on 9-12 of that year, who would you have voted for then?…
think about it…nothing has changed since then…they still want to kill us all, and have clearly said, “we will over throw America from within”…why wouldn’t they try to get into the White House?…I can’t believe there was no better candidate from the Democratic party than this?…how embarrassing and now how scary!! Give me a POW anyday over any non-military person…in case you have forgotten, this war is on-going and is going to keep going for a long time yet…whether we are in Iraq or Afghanistan or fighting them here in the streets of downtown Kansas City!!I see only one possible choice in this election…and I have considered every possible scenerio…who gives a crap about the economy if we choose to not protect ourselves in this war with the most experienced military person available?…what is happening on Wall Street will be the LEAST of your worries if they gain access to even our current technology!!!…also, there is a lot to be said about the “Unavoidable Depression” that is to come because all of the baby-boomers are retiring…Social Security isn’t going to be the biggest thing lost…what happens when America doesn’t have enough workers to fill out all of the “intelligent jobs” left emptied by the retirees?…are we going to use illegal aliens for those jobs too?…not to mention when more than half the work force is in nursing homes…what is THAT going to do to the value of our homes that we now will have millions more of than anyone out there will need?…Hey building contractors!! Stop building and try restoring the older falling down homes more…we don’t need any more houses built for the next 30 or 40 years…as far as not having kids?…I suggest you try to have dozens of American babies born per family…we are at war and most likely will never see an end to this war for centuries to come…we need more young people to fight this war every day!! When you are sitting in that nursing home in your wheel chair, you can tell me I was right!! I wish I had had five more children than I was able to already!! Lastly, let me close by saying…Jesus…we are ready for you now…please hurry!! Satan’s forces are just getting warmed up!!

Shouldn’t this blog be called “preaching to the choir” … a contrary viewpoint is obviously not desired. I am not a Democrat, however. Nor am I a Republican. It’s a shame there are only two truly viable candidates from which to choose, but each election I choose the one that best represents my views, regardless of party. This time around, I lament that neither man epitomizes a leader for whom I could vote without qualm. It is, once again, a matter of voting for the “least bad” candidate. I’ve yet to decide which candidate that is; they are both fairly appalling.
October 21, 2008 at 1:38 pm
give me a break,
unlike pro-obama blogs…I encourage dissent….read through the comments, you will read many points of view..
as their is only one author, me, you will only read one pont of view regarding Obama on the main pages….

Diana, before you go assailing someone’s educational credentials, try brushing up on your own grammar. It’s so low and petty to resort to personal attacks in a forum intended, I assumed, to be for discussion about politics. Do you attack everyone whose opinion may even slightly differ from yours? Do you assume that someone is your enemy if they don’t echo precisely whichever sentiment you’re feeling? Have you ever considered that there are more than 1 billion Muslims in the world and that the number of them that are terrorists is a decimal-point percentage with multiple leading zeroes? Did you know that there are Muslim soldiers in our own military fighting for this country that you, I and they call home? It’s sad that xenophobia is so rampant that the only thing seen is the difference between people, when there is often so much more in common.

Ray, I totally appreciate that your posts are your viewpoint. As it should be. I intended my comment to reflect the tenor of responses to your posts; I in no way think that what you write should be more objective or “fair” if that is not your intent. Passion and politics do go hand in hand, yet I think it is sometimes worthwhile to be as objective as possible — often people damn themselves, all that’s required is a clear lens to capture it.
There is already so much spin and hyperbole that it would be refreshing to see both candidates undistilled so that the good and bad of both can be bared for all to see.

Just a thought. Maybe because of all the controversy concerning Obama’s citizenship and birth certificate, ie; Berg v Obama, and now other lawsuits following in other states, could Obama have instructed Biden to expose his “hoof in mouth” disease to sway votes to McCain? If Obama is indeed found out to be an “illegal alien” he won’t even be able to keep his position as a Senator. The safest way out for Obama, would be to lose the election. I would think that would end the lawsuit to determine his eligibility to hold office of the Presidency, hence insuring Obama’s position as Illinois Senator. Just a thought.

Personally I look at the moral side of the situation that is coming up so folks think hard and deep about this. Look at the platform.
