THANK YOU…..AND, GOODBYE FOR NOW……

sunsetandsilhouetteb

I would like to sincerely thank everyone who has spent time here at Chicagoans Against Obama. I want to let you know how much your feedback and participation has meant to me. When I started this site several months ago, I did so not knowing that this would turn into what it is today….truthfully, I didn’t expect anyone other than friends and family to read what I had to say….and even with them, I thought they would check my site out once, and be done….

As I write to you this morning…it is very hard to find the words to describe how I am feeling….

I, of course, am deeply disappointed….I feel that our country has made a conscious decision to fundamentally change many of the principles that have made our great nation prosper over the years….

To counter a Presidency, that at times has leaned far right…….we are now moving far left…..

Some voted for Obama because they want to end the war….the reality is….war is a two-way street, and will only end when others also want to end it….

Others voted for Obama because they want the economy to improve……so do I…..I find it hard to believe that increased taxation on small businesses will stimulate our economy….history shows us this will not be the case…..but I hope……I…….and history……..are incorrect….

This site spent much time focused on the failures of Chicago’s political machine and Barack Obama’s inaction as a state senator, and US Senator…..the reality is, the results of these failures (highest murder rate in the country, highest sales taxes in the country, public schools under-funded and mismanaged, public hospitals being mismanaged, infrastructure falling apart, high unemployment) are still seen, and felt, today….and will continue to be problems that we will face every day moving forward….

Also, I spent a great deal of time examining Barack Obama’s many questionable relationships and ties…I do not regret doing so…..In all honesty, I hope that these ties prove to be innocuous…and not a predicator of future decision making…..

With this being said……

I have one choice…and one choice only….to issue my most insincere mazel tov….to Barack Obama, David Axelrod…and crew…….I am not going to pretend to be happy today…because I am not….

As I walked to get coffee this morning….many were wearing their Obama lithograph pins and t-shirts…..prominently displaying the face of their candidate….

And, to these people……I can only say one thing….

you are wearing the campaign paraphernalia of a great politician, and of someone who has achieved much personal accomplishment…..at the same time, you are also wearing the paraphernalia of a man who has yet to achieve much for anyone aside from himself….while I understand your happiness today, remember that Barack Obama’s greatest challenges are still ahead of him…

….I wish him much success…as his success, is the success of this great country, in which I love so much…

When I was 7 years old I memorized this line from Martin Luther King’s I Have A Dream speech (that year, my dad made me call all of his coworkers and recite this to them, on Martin Luther King Day, as he was so proud):

“I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.

These words have always meant so much to me…..they of course still do….

In my mind…there are…and were…many reasons to oppose Barack Obama…..

..race is not, and never was, one of them….

So as I leave this blog behind (with a name like “chicagoans against Obama” my time was always limited)…I do so with a clear conscience…..

While I understand some of my posts may have angered some…..that was never my intent…

I hope I made some of you laugh….and I hope I made some of you think…if so, then I feel like a part of my mission was accomplished….

So, as I say goodbye to Chicagoans Against Obama

I want to let you all know…that I am not saying goodbye to the blogosphere…..

While I do plan on taking a break…..

I plan on returning…….

I have a blog that I will be starting called the New School Republican…and I also plan on working on a joint project with the creator of Hillbuzz….

I will continue to blog from my centrist point of view….never forgetting the great bi-partisan dialog that occurred among the many Hillary and McCain supporters…

Two groups of people…..who just months ago thought they had nothing in common…..but today realize how little they differ……

It is hard to believe the end is here……

It is very difficult to say goodbye….

but unfortunately, it is time to do so…

Bless you, and God have mercy on all of us, for we will need it in the next four years of OBOMANTION.

  2. DRDELONEY Says:

THANK YOU FOR YOUR ENERGIES AND EFFORTS. I, TOO, FEEL VERY MELANCHOLY ABOUT THE EVENTS AND THE FATE OF OUR NATION. THE WORDS “GOD BLESS AMERICA” HAVE A MORE URGENT MEANING FOR ME NOW.

  3. Billy Rojas Says:

Just discovered your website. Would like to get in touch via e-mail
that I can actually read without difficulty, I am a former Chicagoan , born in the city but moved away to start a college treaching career.
Now retired, living in Oregon. Consider myself a Radical Centrist.
The question is, what now ? Yes, there will be some positives in an
Obama presidency, but, like you, I have serious worries about all of
the negatives he brings to the nation. I think he will help the economy
at least on balance, but about almost everythig else , this could be
a complete disaster. Hope to hear from you .

  4. Thank you for your great site! I read you faithfully. LOoking forward to seeing you return one day.

  5. My only regret is that I was a democrat for way too many years. Hillary’s primary run opened my eyes to the democratic party. I have a problem with someone being trashed..stepped on..ridiculed..asked to drop out of the race..and next thing campaign for them. Am I not being realistic? Is this the way politics are done? I also have a problem with a candidate with friends that have sermons about the evils of this country..call it’s people everything in the book while he sits in church..and all is forgiven. The problems continue with ayers..farrakhan..and all obama’s close friends. Is this suddenly thrown by the wayside? Now my last problem is…do I ever want to get involved with politics again? My answer at this time is NO. Thanks to you for all your time…and enlightenment.

  6. Bella In Florida Says:

I loved reading your articles . I am looking forward to reading more of your work in the future. I am an Ex- Democrat (Puma)who proudly voted for Mccain. thank you so much for your great work.God Bless you and God Bless our Great nation.

  7. Don’t despair too much… I think you, and many are fretting too much. I am a business owner, former Republican, college degreed, 44 year old, and I haven’t fear from my vote for Barack, which is the first ballot I have ever cast for a Democrat for President.

Take comfort in this. Many of my fellow business owners, managers, C-level execs, felt the same way, and shifted their votes. We simply swung too far to the right, and McCain never showed an inkling of balancing the economic scales. If he had, he would have won. But he insisted on 4 more years of what we now have, a crisis we haven’t seen in ages. And we simply couldn’t vote for that.

In addition we need balance to repair our tarnished reputation around the globe as a nation that works with it’s allies, and not above and beyond them.

And also don’t forget that much of what you hear in any campaign is rhetoric. Nothing can get done without the house and senate, and the committees that look over legislation. I don’t think for a minute that either candidate expects to get passed what they’ve proposed. It’s all a negotiation, and it’s better to start high, and get what you can tolerate, than ask for what you really want.

I don’t know how old you are, so perhaps you don’t understand these concepts of negotiation, and how hard it is to get legislation passed… but I encourage you not to fear, but to embrace change…you may enjoy it’s blessing..

  8. Thank you so much for everything, we fought the good fight. I look forward to reading more in the future…. Your site has served a purpose, and has been appreciated..

In response to Barry above: You have a right to your opinion and I respect that….. I think we are all smart enough to know the rhetoric in campaigning which is what we have heard from Obama for many, many months… please consider this, my sister has lived in Chicago for many years and is the owner of a thriving company. Obama has requested and received many dollars from the federal government to fix up housing for poor individuals within the city…… The money has been received, but the housing has not CHANGED in many many years….The people of America have been sold a bill of goods that will never add up.. If you are not able to care for the people in your own neighborhood and fulfill promises, how do you take care of the United States? While your opinion is respected by me, I am never inclined to vote for any indivdual who has in the past not fullfilled committments to others, and does not have a track record of a good and honest reputation …. like say John McCain

  9. Thank you for helping me realize my passion for politics. This is a sad day for America. I love you.

    Love, Your wife

  10. Thank you for your time and words. I feel like you, too. I will look for you in the future……..God Bless America.

  11. Dear Ray: As a fellow Chicagoan, I thank you so much for this web-site. Living and working in the downtown area, I felt completely alienated after Hillary’s demise from the nomination, being surrounded by OBOTS and and then I found your web-site along with HillBuzz. Your satire and wit and take on issues helped to ease my pain on a daily basis. The outcome was not what we wanted. My biggest concern with Obama has always been his radical associations, and that still exists. We have no choice but to give him a chance and pray that he makes wise decisions. I look forward to your new web-site.

The one thing the DNC did for me this year, was to expose the rampant sexism, and also cause me to see Republicans for the first time as real people I could respect and agree with on some of the issues. I will no longer disrespect them like I did before (okay I admit it, I was a democrat and isn’t that what democrats do?). From now on, I will vote COUNTRY BEFORE PARTY.

  12. thank you

  13. I’ll be sure to check out Hillbuzz. I, too, am interested in such endeavors. Hope to be reading from you soon.

    And a word of encouragement.

This movement will never die. This movement is bigger than any of us. This movement is about returning control from the government to the rightful place of the people. This movement is about realizing that there is more to politics than red/blue, conservative/liberal, feminist/not. This movement is about America. And America will forever live on.

  14. Thank-you for your work in exposing what Obama had done in Chicago. If that is the template, I am very, very afraid for the country that I love.

  15. I cried today, first time in my life at 50 regarding a Presidential election. I am worried for our country as we did not choose the man with the character displayed his whole life, the candidate that we all know… I am thankful for this website and look forward to reading you soon..

    Thank you,

  16. Ray, this old grandma wants to tell you that I am so proud of you and would give you a big hug if I could. Ray, you are my young hero. Never, never change the wonderful qualities that you have. You are the reason why our country will survive. God Bless You…..RAY

  17. CarlyinNJ Says:

    Dear Ray and Fellow Patriots:

Thank you and BLESS YOU for your incredible inspiration and knowledge on the journey we have shared. Also, thank you and BLESSINGS to the great Patriots who have contributed their wisdom and courage in our effort to love, support and save from demise; this great Nation.

I am glad to hear that you are going to continue on; albeit in a different form because we have much work to do together and you and the Patriots here are essential to our NEW mission which MUST be to save our Constitution and ensure democracy and our economic freedom. I will look for your new Blog the “New School Republican” and also I look forward to your input at “HillBuz.”

I too am one of the MANY former Hillary supporters that put Country over Party. We fought the good fight and McCain/Palin received over 56 million votes with victories in 22 States (Florida and Indiana were also close for McCain/Palin). As of this post, North Carolina, according to MSNBC is still a tie (with some additional ballots still to be counted). With 56 million voting for McCain/Palin there are millions of patriots who WILL NOT BE SILENCED by the new faux Democrat/Socialist Party!!

Because I live in NJ and have seen decades of Democrat Party corrupt Machine politics (very similar to the Chicago machine); I will never do the UNITY thing with what is now in my mind a totally corrupted Party. Because of my experience with NJ politics, I know corruption, lies and deceit when I see it and I will not congratulate those who participate in all that is politically repugnant no matter what position in government they are elected to or what Party affiliation they have (so the new DNC Party vision is not for me).

For any of you who might want to check out some NJ Patriots who are working to end political corruption in the Garden State, check out this web-site; they are quite an inspiring group (and they intend to defend Democracy, economic freedom and our great Nation working in the great State of New Jersey):

    blog.savejersey.com

Please excuse the repost of some of my thoughts from an earlier thread but I think that they were actually more appropriate posted here:

Ray and “Chicagoans Against Obama” supporters and Patriots; we have much work to do!!! Like Senator McCain said, “Our great Country needs YOU now more then ever!!!”

A great man and woman, Senator John McCain and Governor Sarah Palin lost the Election for POTUS tonight; but we must not allow ourselves to be defeated.

Yes, the outcome of the 2008 Election is disappointing and disheartening. However, considering the fact that the new Socialist Democrat Party spent almost a Billon Dollars to buy the Election there is no mandate resulting from this Election and there was NO Landslide for Obama/Biden; although more then likely the “Lame Stream Media” will claim that there was!!!

In spite of this disappointment and loss, we must stand for Democracy and for Freedom; for if we will not then WHO will???

For the moment I leave you with this message from Ayn Rand; I know that we will meet again on this journey my fellow Patriots for we have only just begun:

“[Do not let your fire go out, spark by irreplaceable spark, in the hopeless swamps of the approximate, the not-quite, the not-yet, the not-at-all. Do not let the hero in your soul perish, in lonely frustration for the life you deserved, but have never been able to reach. Check your road and the nature of your battle.

The world you desired can be won. It exists, it is real, it is possible, it is yours].”

We have a VISION for our Nation and our World too and our VISION will not be snuffed out by political thuggery or destroyed in elections that are bought with millions of dollars through corruption.

There are 56 million of us who have also spoken and that my friends are a lot of voices speaking for democracy and freedom!!!

  18. Thank you for the informative site and putting yourself out there for the rest of us. We, like alot of others are small business owners that are very worried about the days ahead. We work 60 – 80 hours a week to try to keep ahead and the thought of paying more in taxes for the government to give out to those who don’t work has us worried. We have come to the conclusion that when taxes are raised then we will have to lay off about six of our thirty employees, and these six will be the ones sporting Obama bumper stickers on their cars. Seems only fair, they wanted change….

  19. Anonymous Says:

the people have spoken and they elected Obama and left the village idiot to run this website.

  20. CarlyinNJ Says:

Ray and dear friends, this is an e-mail I just received from POCPUMA, (People of Color Puma) and I thought I would share the thoughts with you all too:

    “[All,

It was great working with you to fight the good fight of NObama! The cause was just, honorable, and worthwhile.

As for me, the fight is NOT over, because I want to help others expose what Obama has been able to keep hidden. I am motivated by the parable of the lamp in the Bible: "For nothing is hidden that shall not become evident, nor anything secret that shall not be known and come to light." (Mark 8:17)

We cannot allow what happened to stand unchecked, otherwise, others will seek to use the same gameplan. My main reasons for not supporting Barack Obama still stand.

    1. He was nominated in an UNDEMOCRATIC process by the Democratic Party
    2. He is too INEXPERIENCED to lead our great country (no time for "training wheels" in the White House)
    3. He is UNTRUSTWORTHY (a lot to be uncovered about Obama...he has to earn my trust)

    SUGGESTIONS...
    1. Just don't go away and be quiet, and hope for the best.
    2. Get active in political parties (I have decided to join the Republican Party).
    3. Financially support those who continue to dig into Obama's secret past and will keep him in check during
    his presidency.
    4. Keep the blogs active, and don't let the left wing blogs go unchecked.
    5. Consider joining forces with a more organized group that can raise funds and act nationally.
    6. Do NOT become that which you are fighting!

    POCPUMA.com ... JustSayNoDeal.com]”

    P.S.
Again, the NJ link for those interested in one of the most dynamic groups in the Garden State effort to end corruption in NJ is:

    http://blog.savejersey.com/

Just so you know, these are primarily Republican oriented folks; but as others have said here and I concur; I will put Country first. I am glad to work with all those who want honesty and integrity in government, who love this great Nation (faults and all) and who want to see economic freedom and democracy continue for ALL. We have much work to do!!! Thank you and Bless You on the JOURNEY!!!

  21. CarlyinNJ,

I’m inspired. Maybe we can all save the Republican party and in four years the Democratic party.

  22. Thanx Ray I look at Hillbuz
XAX very powerfull truths you speak and keep up the fight Carlyin NJ

Hopefully our senate and the sane Democrats and Republicans in the house will fight these radicals.
We will see how bad it all gets here in the US , in the Middle east and my God Save Isreal and the USA

  23. MissPolitico Says:

Much love Ray. I can’t wait to see what you do next. I believe, as many others do, that once the media builds you up they have no other choice but to start tearing you down. BO will get some rest before their next move – but mark my words… they are salivating at the prospect of 4 years of news stories that will make them money.

The media doesn’t care about anyone but the media. There is much to discuss about this mystery man. They put him in without discussing it do they could turn on him while he is a much more important person/story later. Now that they have put him in office, they are waiting with baited breath to bring his demise. That is just the way they think and work…. The truth will prevail because, simply, the media can not help itself….

    Best Wishes,
    Me

  24. You have done great work here and I hope you will be back to keep us informed about Chicago Politics and the real story behind Obama. Much of what you had I sent on to friends and family because I felt it was important. Thank you for all you have done. My son wants to move to Chicago next year and I have some trepidation about going to a town with so much on its plate, but my prayers will follow him and I can only hope he will meet good people like you.

  25. ChicagoBlood Says:

Hello Ray and everyone else who has posted here irregardless of your social or political views or whether you were for or against President-elect Obama.

I’ve learned a great deal posting back and forth with everyone on this board, some who I passionately agreed with and others the opposite.

Please know, however we may agree or disagree on issues, that I sincerely respect you and I wish you well on your life journeys.

I am disappointed but I too share a pride in our country that we could overcome the racial strife (if not for a moment) of our past to elect a man of African-American heritage as President. And as much as I disagree fundimentally on many issues with Jesse Jackson, those tears of his last night were real, and I feel a profound respect for his emotions.

I disagree with President-elect Obama on several issues but I am consoled with the fact that we have at least some form of check. Our checks and balances remain intact. I further believe our right to voice our disagreement will remain and I look forward to the future clash of ideas that is our Democracy and our heritage.

We can build from this momentous chapter in our nations history, to further heal our racial divisions and reach out to each other in a common bond of humanity made in the image of God, this I believe.

I have grown much in the short time that I have spent posting here, the first time I’d ever really engaged in a political debate via a blog and I feel I’ve learned much from the variety of views and opinions expressed here irregardless of whether or not I agreed with them and for that I am deeply thankful.

A special thank you Ray for allowing me this opportunity and to all those I disagree with in as much with those I agree with I simply say thank you and I wish you well.

    Peace.

that I needed badly as my Father has passed on and
he earned the Silver, Bronze, Valor and Purple Heart.
I know my Fathers wisdom would have held me steady
as I faltered on my perceptions of this election.
I got my answers today with another Veteran. I walked
away today more light hearted and with optimism.
The heavy heart I carry is still heavy. I worry for our
country and my children and families. I see businesses
closing all over the place. Uprising in Gaza does not ease
my mind and also the constant smiling mantra faces-are
like masks of insanity. Looking at a giddy googly president
makes me feel like we are on a boat thats rocking
in the wind. Oh well-theres Rock n Roll-Thank you for
your page and drop me a line.

  29. As an Obama supporter, I want to thank you all for your classy attitudes today. This country is great because we have so many different viewpoints and ideas, and we must encourage this debate and the coming ones to keep the country that we all love strong. God bless.

  30. Ray, Thank you for your wonderfully astute and irreverent commentary. Your unfailingly accurate critique on the cut of the new emperor’s clothes has been important in helping many of us keep up our own courage. I will miss it while you are on R&R. Can’t wait to visit your new site(s).

  31. i’m glad there are others out there who feel the same way i do. your website was insightful and informative. thanks for all the great blogging. i look forward to reading your new stuff. Keep it up and thanks so so much!!!

The country has made its decision. That is democracy.

I am planning my departure from this country for a few years to shake off the effect of the newly introduced socialist charter. It may present perspective on the modified form of the USA which may become appealing. The interesting aspect of this election is the age of the voters, many who have not experienced the Carter era of long as line, 18% inflation and 23% interest rates.

Sometimes pain is good. It makes the people value what they had. What the spoiled youngsters wanted is a tylenol to make the pain go away. Raise the threshhold and you will become stronger as a nation. We should try it and shake off some young dumbness.

    Good night and good luck.

  33. Good Riddance!

  34. Thanks for all your work. This site helped me get through all this. The worse thing is feeling that you are not allowed to criticize Obama. So much for freedom of speech.

Today, More praises heaeped on President Elect, Obama this one from Hamas written by Aaron Klein of Worldnet Daily; see original source website for entire Article:

    http://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=80180

“[Hamas praises Obama win as 'historic victory for world'
Terrorists drafting letter of congrats to be sent directly to president-elect

JERUSALEM – The Hamas terrorist group believes the election of Sen. Barack Obama is an 'historic victory' for the world and an opportunity to change U.S. foreign policy toward engagement with America's foes, Ahmed Yousef, Hamas' chief political adviser in the Gaza Strip, told WND in an exclusive interview today.

Yousef, speaking by cell phone from Gaza, said Hamas is drafting a letter of congratulation to be sent tomorrow directly to Obama. He said the current draft of the letter praises the president-elect as 'another John F. Kennedy, or great Roosevelt.'

'We want to be one of the first to congratulate him,' Yousef said.

'This is an historic day, a turning point. I think this is the very first time in history that one country's election concerned everyone everywhere all over [the] world,’ said Yousef. ‘Everybody is looking forward to Obama’s change, for a change in the U.S. policy, particularly in the Israeli-Palestinian equation, which is the mother of all conflicts.’

Yousef told WND he believes an Obama administration will be more willing to engage in dialogue with Hamas.

He said Obama’s job will be to ‘restore America’s dignity in the world and put an end to the wars in the region.’

Yousef took the occasion to blast the policies of President Bush, commenting he hopes ‘that after January the Bush administration will not be heard from again.’

‘We are sick of wars and conflict,’ the Hamas official said.

Yousef seemed aware his comments and Hamas’ expected letter to Obama may generate some negative publicity for Obama, but he said he feels it important to ‘reach out and to express our thoughts and engage.’

‘I praised him six months ago, some people tried to use that against him. But I knew he would win. Like everyone else, we expected this important victory,’ he said.

…..Hamas is responsible for scores of suicide bombings, rocket attacks, shootings and cross-border raids. Its official charter calls for the murder of Jews and destruction of Israel. Just today, (November 5, 2008) Hamas members took responsibility for launching dozens of rockets from Gaza aimed at Jewish civilian population centers.]”

Kaylee said, “[PERHAPS THE FIRST TIME IN THE HISTORY OF OUR COUNTRY WE WILL HAVE TO LEARN ABOUT THE MAN WE ELECTED AS PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES WHILE HE IS IN OFFICE..TOO MANY UNANSWERED QUESTIONS ONE THING WE KNOW FOR SURE BARACK OBAMA WILL FUNDAMENTALLY CHANGE THE US AND THE WORLD..BECAUSE HE SAID HE WOULD WITH THE SUPPORT OF THE PEOPLE..ONLY PROBLEM IS THAT NO ONE ASKED AND “HOW WILL YOU CHANGE THE US AND THE WORLD???” I GUESS WE WILL HAVE TO WAIT TO FIND OUT..]”

Seems that members of Hamas believe that they already know how President-Elect Obama will lead this Country and change the World.

Just something to think about and to maybe make sure our new POTUS knows just how we feel BEFORE he “changes the world.”

Now let’s get real…he has zero experience in anything but working with bill ayers and rezko. I hardly think that prepared him to run this country. It may have taught him to have a relationship with ANYONE and not to be particular.

He has lied about his background, radical associations, and illegal campaign contributions. No doubt in my mind that he bought his position and lease to the White House.

There is the possibility that he will have to prove his citizenship as a Natural Born citizen of the US before he is sworn in.

  49. Thanks Ray, your site was really helpful. I always wondered what BO’s accomplishements in Chicago were, and your site was really helpful.

The whole voter-registration, campaign-funding mess needs imo foremost attention. With a broken system you can’t ‘just elect the other person in 2010/2012′, and with all branches of government in the hands of the same party & the msm in the tank there are no realistic checks-and-balances. If I learned something about Obama it’s he’s not stupid, and will not allow himself to be mauled by the media ‘when the craze ends’. Already they’re covering for him (‘With Bush failed legacy & economy, BO can’t make come true all his promises at once’ – as if that was not apparent from the start yet they said nothing about it).

My take of choice: Obama spends 4 times as much as the other candidate, Obama wins the Presidency = Obama bought the Presidency.

Simplistic, but BDS worked too so what the heck.

Thanks for all you have done to inform us. It’s never too late. We’ll keep fighting, you keep blogging, Ray.

  51. I will be waiting for you to come back – I found you through my membership with PUMA -
This is just the beginning of our fight – I am an adult back in school, and I full-well see the socialist propaganda they are shoving down the throat of our youths – you wouldn’t believe it – this is a large part of why the election has turned out this way!
Make it your duty to find out what they are teaching your children – I raise my grandson, and I only wish I could home-school him.
Please everyone, let’s fight now before this regresses to the American Civil War II

  52. Yes, “the one” is already taking pre-paid credit cards to fund his reelection in 4 years.

The killers hamas here’s a middle finger to you! Sound like someone we know? Who cares what you murders say or think!

  53. Thanks so much for this site. I have really enjoyed reading this every day. We need to all take a deep breath and keep standing up for our great country. The real unifier in this campaign has been all of you here and at other bipartisan blogs. I feel closer to Democrats now than I ever have before.

Can’t wait for your new blog – will be checking in to read. Good luck to all of the other readers. Hang tough. I’m off to go eat some tater tots!!!

  54. Thanks for all your hard work Ray. I’ll watch for you on Hillbuzz.

  55. Can you please post this on your website, Ray??? I thank you so much for creating it. I used to go on it everyday to smile, laugh, and make myself feel better when I was down (when the polls were down)…American citizens have the right for Congress to abide by our Constitution!!!

  62. Ray, ChiBlood & Michelle,

Thank you Ray for all you’ve done. It is indeed appreciated. And Thanks to Chiblood and Michelle for your comments and kindness. I suspect there will be a “re-start” of many sites like Ray’s in the coming months, the Truth will soon be obvious to all…the same Truth we tried to warn everyone about. I’ll leave you all with this lil’ quote I thought up.

“Ronald Reagan was affectionately named: The Great Communicator.

From this day on, Barack Obama will forever be known as:

    The Great Deceiver”

Best wishes to all, the real fight has just begun!

    Doc’

  63. ChicagoBlood Says:

Thanks Doc & Michell for your thoughts as well. It has been a pleasure. Looking forward to more in the future.

  64. ChicagoBlood Says:

To the Sarah Palin wannabe a few posts above…

YOU are the one who voted for “hope and change” with little substance or examination beyond those two words.

And “change” is what you will get.

Enjoy it, I don’t think you will if the reality of it should hit, but all the same enjoy what you’ve bought into…sucka.

  65. Thank you Ray, you are a real American… We will continue the good fight together.

  66. Ray,

Even though we don´t agree on President Obama I respect your views. That said I´ll like to say:

People aren´t fools, come on guys all these SMEARS you all put up against Obama did not sway independent voters like me. Why ? You made no effort to factor out the absurd lies which were mingled with many accurate things.

People tend to give more credit to those who show they are at least making an effort to be balanced. Take for example when McCain told the lady in red at one of his townhalls that Obama was not an Arab…. after that his ratings jumped. He should have attacked those absurd things floating around he knew were lies so as to make his points and attacks on other issues seem less like a smear…….. which by the way was exactly what Obama did.

Smears in elections don´t work any more……..there are too many info outlets out there where people can check for facts. Sen Dole should be able to tell you that. She was leading untill she put up that stupid godless ad. For what ? Basically nothing as she was alreading running very effective attack ads.

Well it´s over now. President Obama will take office and we Americans that voted for him will have to bare the consequences – good or bad.

Goodbye and God bless all of us.

    JustADude.

  67. justadude

that is the funny thing – now you will find out that what you so naively call “smears” will turn out to be “truths”. You will also find out that McCain should have been MORE aggressive in revealing nobama – he was just afraid of offending people like you – people who have a hard time seeing reality.
    Enjoy your president.

  68. Thank you so much for providing this site.

In my depression, now that the worst has happened, I am truly going to miss coming here each day.

    Good luck to you.

    Stay well.

  72. Know what? I just discovered this site. Did I miss something? ;-)

Thank you for your contributions; please keep an eye toward scrutinizing this man with the rest of us. By the look in his eye on election night, he appears to have the unusual confidence of someone who knows his objectives and not just fuzzy goals — and who realizes that the masses do not.

If you want something to read, I suggest looking up anarcho-synidcalism — you may even want to say it three times fast — but not while clicking your heels together, lest you unwittingly join in helping is get there!

We can disagree on many things without without tearing each other up.

We can believe and come together with common and rediscovered Truths. We’ve seen how we can support and help each other, we need to keep it up.

I’m to the Center-Right of the political-philosophical equation and I just want to reach out my hand for what it’s worth.

    Very cool.

Hey Ray, what’s up with New Republicans Site?

  76. RepublicansAreDead Says:

Obama won because he will move this country forward. The Republican Party is dead. We need new ideas,a new perspective. And thankfully, the majority of reasonable,level-headed voters also thought so on November 4th.

We,the supporters of the Democratic Party, have taken this country out of the hands inept Republicans and we should all celebrate.

    Welcome to 21st century.

  77. Katherine B. Says:

The end of this site only adds to my depression. That said, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything you accomplished. You made me laugh during this terrible time and for that I am so very grateful. No blessings from this free thinking atheist but many, many thanks.

  78. ChicagoBlood Says:

“We,the supporters of the Democratic Party, have taken this country out of the hands inept Republicans and we should all celebrate.

    Welcome to 21st century”.

    LMAO

You voted for the same party THAT REFUSED TO REGULATE FANNIE/FREDDIE WHICH IN TURN IMPLODED OUR ECONOMY.

Gas prices only started shooting up after The Pelosi congress took over, a congress that enjoys a 9% approval rating. Bush is at least in the 30% range.

  79. ChicagoBloodIsBlue Says:

No. I voted for a party that was lead by an intelligent,capable,level-headed nominee that will hopefully do things the way they should’ve been done years ago.

I don’t have enough time and the internet doesn’t have enough space for me to point out every failure of the current Republican Party. Let’s not mention McCain/Palin. I am so unbelievably excited that, finally, the majority of people finally had enough and put a democrat,a black democrat,in the highest elected office.

We won. Stop crying about it. The GOP has been torn apart and it’s story is an epic one that will be told for decades. Common sense has finally descended upon the majority and it feels amazing.

  80. CarlyinNJ Says:

Hi There, I am still in “Moderation” since Friday, November 7th!!
Hope to share those thoughts with all of you from my 11/7 Message!!!
    Blessings To All!!!!

  81. Thank you so much for this site. There were many, many days that I was ready to give up and your site gave me hope. Yes, I feel despair, too, like many others here. But we have a good fight to fight yet.

Considering all of the cheating and stealing that went on with our opponent, it is amazing and encouraging that we did get so many votes for McCAIN-PALIN. I know we have to work as a grass-roots organization but we also have some other battles to fight or a lot of our efforts could very well be wasted. Some things I think that we will have to be vigilant about and get out a calling campaign to our representatives both Dem and Rep are:

1.) The Fairness Doctrine–which will silence a lot of our efforts to get the message out by eliminating talk radio and Fox News (don’t think for a minute that it will affect the MSM–it won’t)
2.) Amnesty for illegal-aliens which will eliminate all but one party in our country
3.) The Freedom of Choice Act: This Bill if made law will supersede all state laws which place restrictions on abortion. This law will make abortion on demand a fundamental right in the United States regardless of age or of the viability of the baby. This law will remove all state and federal protections to doctors who refuse to perform abortions whether on moral or religious grounds.
4.) Voting rights for felons–also mostly Obama voters (there is a surprise)

Anyway, we must be vigilant and get the word out to everyone to call and call again; write and write again EVERY state senator and house representative to keep these bills from becoming law.
After your break, I hope you keep up the good work–you have a real gift. Thank you.

  82. ChicagoBlood Says:

    Am I crying about it?

No, the die has been cast and you get the what you vote for (have the Obama Campaign workers in Indy been fully paid for their work on their candidates behalf yet?).

I hope I don’t lend the impression (and I apologize if I do ) that the Republican Party is flawless.

They’ve screwed up sure enough (they certainly didn’t carry the day here) but it defies explaination that however many years ago, the much villified Bush attempted to regulate Fannie/Freddie and was resisted by the Democrat leadership in charge.

    It’s documented.

“I don’t have enough time and the internet doesn’t have enough space for me to point out every failure of the current Republican Party”.

Nor do you have any time to acknowledge (nor do I believe you would even attempt to do so) the clear failures of the Democrats in regards to Fannie/Freddie and instead you beat up on George W. and pin the failures of the Democrats on him regardless of the archived evidence to the contrary (New York and L.A. Times, no friend of center-right in any fashion). I have the distinct feeling that whenever anything falls short in the Obama Administration we will be hearing about the “failed policies of George W. Bush” as an explaination and persons, perhaps such as yourself, will absorb and echo back such denunciations UNQUESTIONINGLY.

Sure the Republicans bear partial responsibility in the build-up of the Fannie/Freddie trainwreck but when regulation was proposed by the much maligned Bush and the letter of warning from McCain was disregarded it was the ruling Democrats who rejected the needed regulation.

    And the rest is history.

    “Let’s not mention McCain/Palin.”

So Obamas’ campaign was flawless? He won sure enough, but is he “perfect”?

The tone of your post implies this.

    “I am so unbelievably excited”

This is never an indication of rational thinking. You are clearly blinded by your own ebullience, intoxicated would be a good word for it.

    Remember this;

Your candidate is a very charismatic POLITICIAN. You would be very foolish and naive not to keep a critical eye on him or ANYONE you have voted in for that matter. Blind trust in politicians Democrat, Republican or otherwise is just, for want of a better word, stupid.

“Common sense has finally descended upon the majority and it feels amazing”.

    I really am sorry but;

ROFLMAO (have you ever heard of lemmings off a cliff?)

Anyway congratulations on your victory, I hope you are wise enough to set aside your feelings and start viewing your candidates with a far more critical eye.

In closing, I again congratulate you on the success of your candidates but don’t expect everyone to be a cheerleader for the winner. It is important for the vitality and health of a Democracy that a loyal opposition be maintained.

You clearly have no interest in holding your candidates accountable while in office in an apparent blind supposition that “whatever they may propose is for our good.”

We, in the oppostion, do not hold those regards to any politician and will be watching with a critical eye.

In any case, I will hold President Obama with far greater respect and benefit of the doubt than you have demonstrated for W. Bush these past eight years.

  85. Now is not the time to quit. Now is the time to begin. We can’t un-elect him, and I understand being tired. But we are about to continue with a corporate dictatorship in America. Bush and Cheney aren’t over; Obama is just replacing them. Make no mistake, he is not a lefty. He’s closer to a neo-con without a label.

Nope, it doesn’t suck to be all of us, because the candidate I voted for (Not Obama) gets a rest and is not responsible for dealing as President with the economic debacle the country is going through and will go through. He doesn’t have to deal with Russia or Iranor Iraq either.

Good luck to Obama; He’ll need it, and I will have the satisfaction of knowing I was in no way responsible for this unqualified, unvetted, crook and liar making it to the White House. I will probably have the dubious satisfactiion of saying “I told you so!” when he royally screws up a job he cheated to get.

Thanks, Ray for all your hard work on, your great blog; I look forward to reading your next
    blog.

    Best to you.

  93. H from NJ

“SUCKS TO BE ALL OF YOU, HUH??? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!

Not at all my friend, because our votes cast aren’t gonna own this oncoming catastrophe you blindly voted in.

You voted for the same crooks who ripped us all off.

Sucks to be you, my friend because I believe you’re in for a rude surprise when reality hits.

Sucks to be you, my friend, because I’m glad I’m not that stupid and gullible.

    Enjoy your “change.”

  94. Another two decades old questionable Chicago connection will manifest in the White House. Valerie Jarrett, according to the NY Times is “[A longstanding member of PE Obama’s tiny core of top (Chicago) advisers, (Jarrett) will continue providing him with counsel on a wide-ranging set of issues….she will serve as the White House’s point person for business with state and local officials].” So just who is Valerie Jarrett?

According to numerous articles written over this last year, Valerie Jarrett was actively involved in obtaining MILLIONS of DOLLARS of Taxpayer funds and ripping off poor folks in Chicago (these folks just happened to be PE Obama’s former Chicago constituents). Check out the website “NoQuater USA” for the truth on Valerie Jarrett, who will soon hold one of the most influential positions in PE Obama’s administration, NOQuater USA says…..

“[A disturbing pattern emerges, and it can be summarized as follows:

Obama secured funds for developers who desired to earn profits off of low income housing during the privitization scheme of the Chicago Housing Authority that occurred during Barack Obama’s tenure as a state Senator. Those developers include Tony Rezko, ‘VALERIE JARRETT’ and Cecil Butler (my emphasis).

These public-private partnerships failed, leaving many in squalor.
Barack Obama remained silent, but he accepted contributions from Rezko, JARRETT, Butler and others…… Obama’s desire to privatize public housing has resulted in a series of failed projects that have left the indigent in squalor.

But Obama accepted the political contributions of these unscrupulous developers nonetheless.]”

Now, many unscupulous and corrupt powerhungry people will inhabit the White House; is that the CHANGE we were promised? Is this the new type of government that we have been waiting for? Is this the new Democrat Party? President Franklin Roosevelt had some thoughts on this vision of government, FDR said:

“[The liberty of a democracy is not safe if the people tolerate the growth of private power (of an individual or a Political Party) to the point where it becomes stronger than the democratic state itself. That in its essence is fascism — ownership of government by an individual, by a group or any controlling private power.]“

  95. ChicagoBlood Says:

    Hope and Change?

How about President-elect Obama give a shot to Alan Keyes in his administration?

Just speaking for myself as a center-right conservative, I believe something like this would go a long way towards a mending bi-partisanship.

  96. I JUST RECEIVED THIS EMAIL……I HOPE YOU CHECK YOUR SITE…ITS VERY IMPORTANT FOR YOU TO READ THIS !!!!!

I feel like I have fallen down the rabbits hole. What’s wrong with this picture . . . Hillary as Secretary of State and McCain meeting with BHO today. Your voice is needed. I hope you reconsider . . . every day there’s something new!

Is he educated? What are his angles? We don’t know. I think Ray is a fool. An angry rich kid from the burbs who probably doesn’t know a single black person. All of you need to stop you bitching and whining. Get over it. Republicans are angry, close minded homophobes, who want to govern with the bible. For a jew to vote for a republican is beyond insane. Ray, you are a lying disgrace. I hope someday you experience that vile hate that you have spewed on this site. I’m darn sure it would leave you sucking your thumb in the fetal position. Or better yet, how about telling us your last name, so we can do some digging on you.. Would you be willing to live up to that kind of scrutiny? My guess is not. You are gutless.

Everything is going to be great under President Obama. Just relax, y’all. It’ll be fine. We are all one people.

  102. How Obama Got Elected????? John Zeigler, an award winning Author, Commentator, Broadcaster and Filmmaker gives us an extraordinary Documentary Film, “Media Malpractice” giving the answers to this billion dollar question.

You might want to check out the shocking answers at, http://www.HowObamaGotElected.com and also John Zeigler’s own website at, http://www.johnziegler.com/: “[as part of his forthcoming documentary, 'Media Malpractice... How Obama Got Elected,' John Ziegler released a new web video along with the findings of a nationwide Zogby Poll of Obama voters he commissioned. Ziegler recently appeared on Fox News Channel's 'Hannity and Colmes' to give them the exclusive story before Zogby's official release (11/18/2008)]”…“[The purpose of the Video/Poll was to examine the impact of the news media on what Obama voters knew (or thought they knew) about the Campaign. All of the shocking results can be found at…(the website, How Obama Got Elected)…The Youtube version of the video and Ziegler's appearance on Fox News are also on the website].”

John Zeigler is also encouraging folks to spread the videos “as much as you can!” Zeigler explains that, “[On Election day twelve Obama voters were interviewed extensively right after they voted to learn how the News Media impacted their knowledge of what occurred during the Campaign. These voters were chosen for their apparent intelligence/verbal abilities and willingness to express their opinions to a large audience. The rather shocking video....seeks to provide some insight into which information broke through the news media clutter and which did not. Because obviously interviewing a relative handful of Obama voters, while interesting, is hardly scientific proof of anything, we also commissioned a Zogby Telephone Poll which asked the very same questions (as well as a few others) with similarly amazing results].” The Zogby Poll Results are on the website and these results will amaze you.

Thomas Jefferson said, “Information is the currency of democracy,” and we direly need a News Media in this Country that provides accurate and unbiased information. Until that miracle happens, websites like CAO are crucial in providing access to truthful information. Please share John Zeigler’s video, “Media Malpractice;” YOU are the defenders of democracy!!

  103. Ray,

I have been avoiding all things political since the election. I have been fairly miserable about it.

I AM pleased that 48% of the country didn’t buy the lie.

Very grateful for all your work here on this blog, let me say thanks for all you have done. We will need your passion to counter this new administration which will survive for a time on the illusions it has created but which will surely collapse in the face of the trials that await it.

  109. Obama is a puppet of the ruling class. His purpose is continuation of the same policies of the Cheney regime with a new face for window dressing and the vast majority of the American people are way too dumb to realize it.

On the one hand there are Republicans who think that Obama is a Muslim or a socialist even though he wore a yarmulke at the Wailing Wall and surrounds himself with uber-bourgeois ultra-rich and powerful kingmakers from the C.F.R., Bilderberg Group and Trilateral Commission.

On the other hand you have naive, starry-eyed Democrats who would swear that Obama = change even if he appointed Dick Cheney and Henry Kissinger to be top advisers.

Both groups of people are flailing around in the dark when the truth about Obama should be plain as the nose on their face: He’s a puppet of the same puppetmasters who control the outgoing Cheney regime. He will change nothing of substance. Republicans: You can rest easy. You have a “black” Dick Cheney in the Oval Office. Democrats: You don’t have to worry either because in your eyes Obama can do no wrong and even if he let EVERYBODY from the current regime stay on in his cabinet you would still be convinced he’s about “change” and will tell with wide-eyed enthusiasm anyone who will listen how much he is “changing” things and “shaking up Washington”. I don’t know whether to laugh or vomit. Maybe I’ll do both.

The man is already in a world of trouble because apparently the opening visit with Bush on transition gave him a quick education into what real life in this world is about for a President. It is not about big speeches and everyone bowing down to you.

Obama had a quick wake up call and now the left is banging on the door to be let in. They have hundreds of items that he PROMISED to fulfill for them in exchange for their votes.

Obama has one very big choice to make. He can choose to be a good President of this country, he can choose to repay his supporters, or he can choose to support the image that he has of himself as President and world leader.

Obama cannot do all three. If he tries to, then he fails at the other two.

For the sake of our country we will support him if he truly tries to be a good president but if he goes for the other two possibilities, then we will be all over it and the bias of the media in support of him will be turned on him in a minute.

  112. ChicagoBlood Says:

    Libby,

    Probably a small comfort for you but those in the MSM who provided us with all the deep and analytical evaluation of Mr. Obama the candidate are now openly asking;

“Do we really know this guy?”

    And to the delusioned on the left who voted for Mr. Obama on the empty euphimisms of “hope and change”;

Under the bus baby, under the bus.

  113. Bye bye LOSERS !!

  114. ChicagoBlood Says:

    Organic Grog,

He hasn’t done anything yet other than contrive the “Office of the President Elect” out of thin air.

Do you understand the word “pretentious”?

Did you also see that Israel is considering a preemptive unilateral strike against Iran?

Not much of a vote of confidence in the “President-Elect”.

  115. Patrick Henry Says:

We the People have the rights to demand the following!

    1) Obama must establish his eligibility to POTUS without question, to be only a natural born U.S. citizen without loyalties to other foreign countries!

    2) The fact that Obama has refused is just a criminal behavior to do otherwise. Criminal because his actions are premeditated deception, fraudulent and deceitful of the U.S. Constitution laws!

    3) If found to be a illegibility as POTUS, having lied to the entire world, he should be tried for treason!

There should be a FULL investigation of all government bodies and tried for crimes against the United States as well.

No American citizen, should reward or allow our country to be hijacked, by anyone especially as shown by the exploitation of a position of power or trust for personal gain!

    Amend…

When are you coming back? The Governor of Illinois was arrested today for trying to sell Obama’s Senatorial seat . . . my God, you make this stuff up. Would love to hear from you listen to your perspective.

  117. RAAAY, I thought for sure you would be back today……. I logged on just to get your perspective and expert opinion.

  118. would just love to get your opinion on the latest news on Blago.
    come back Ray!

  119. Ray, come back! We need you!

  120. Ray? say something……. We are gonna start getting worried. Did something happen to you in Chicago? :)

  121. MissPolitico Says:

Ray – where are you when we need your voice on the shit coming out of Chicago… it’s just now getting interesting…. will you ever blog again? I imagine the coffe shop talk up in Chicago is quite interesting these days.

  122. Ray – you’re a true self-righteous asshole. I’m just so glad that you went through so much work for….well, absolutely nothing.

Sorry, you did at least get a whole bunch of other retards with similar disingenuous and idiotic beliefs to gather round your “centrist” idiotic rants. I’m sure this concentrated idiocy gives you solace in your utter defeat.

Don’t worry there will be plenty of right-wing witch hunts to feed your appetite for misinformation and self-delusion.

  123. ChicagoBlood Says:

    First you say,

    ” you’re a true self-righteous asshole.”

    Then you say;

“Don’t worry there will be plenty of right-wing witch hunts to feed your appetite for misinformation and self-delusion.”

    Witch Hunts?

Makes me think of what the far-left has done to Clarence Thomas, Scooter Libby and especially Sarah Palin.

    Self-righteous asshole?

Your label, wear it proudly, you’ve earned it and while you’re at it add “hypocrite”.

It’s the return “Far-Right Wing Conspiracy” nuts (see: “disingeneous and idiotic beliefs”) ready to deflect blame for any and all potential failures of the Obama administration ( oh, wait a minute. He can’t fail, he’s the “messiah”) on a “Vast Far-Right-Wing Conspiracy” or “The Failed Policies of George W. Bush”.

    Do you really want to talk about “concentrated idiocy?” You voted for this;

    http://www.weeklystandard.com/weblogs/TWSFP/2008/10/obama_responds_to_bidens_crisi.asp

Apparently you’d rather everyone just shut up and fall in line behind the “messiah” and you’re ready to throw an apocolyptic tantrum over any and all disagreement with the “One”.

    Self-delusion?

You voted for the empty rhetoric of “hope and change” with an individual you have feted as a “messiah” with the support of a toothless and fawning MSM that behaved more as the Obama campaigns cheerleading mouthpiece than as a scrutinizing, independent watchdog that it should have been.

    “appetite for misinformation”.

We went through eight years of this with the Far-Left villifying and trashing George W. Bush (who kept us quite safe after 9-11 and freed the oppressed peoples of two countries from the likes of Saddam Hussain and the Taliban) and we have another at least 2 years anyway, hopefully no more than that, of a morally bankrupt congress that enabled the implosion of our economy, a catastrophe Bush tried to head off years ago but was thwarted by a Democrat controlled congress. Individuals, I’m sure, you happily voted for on the dubious, empty headed premise of “hope and change”.

    “whole bunch of other retards”.

This speaks volumes of your mentality and is a typical response of the intellectually hapless. A mentality that had no qualms attacking the character of a BABY (Baby Trig) to tear down his mother.

Please, go climb back under your rock.

  124. Chicago blood, great response above… Where else do you blog?

  125. ChicagoBlood Says:

  127. You realize that this site is needed now more than ever right? With all that is going on in Obamaland, it would be good to continue from the Chicago perspective!

  128. To all of my fellow disillusioned friends out there who have stopped watching the news and who are deeply concerned about the future of our country and the future of the life as we now know it..I wish to refer you to a fascinating article in the Washington Post (or on the web at real clear politics) written by Charles Krauthammer entitled So Much For Hope Over Fear..I do believe there are sane people still out there. I do believe that the robotic clones will eventually realize their error. God bless America

  129. CarlyinNJ Says: Says:

Thank you for your suggestion Dr. Ron. What a great Article by Krauthammer, So Much For Hope Over Fear. For those who want to check out this concise and brilliant analysis by Krauthammer (as Dr. Ron pointed out); the Article is real easy to find either at the WP or at the real clear politics site.

In 11 short paragraphs (including the PO quote) and one additional sentence; Krauthammer conveys an understanding of the debacle that our Country now faces (far worse then anything that transpired in the last eight years). Here is some of the “fascinating” Krauthammer viewpoint:

‘A failure to act, and act now, will turn crisis into a catastrophe.’
    – President Obama, Feb. 4.

“[Catastrophe, mind you. So much for the President who in his inaugural address two weeks earlier declared ‘we have chosen hope over fear.’ Until, that is, you need fear to pass a bill.

And so much for the promise to banish the money changers and influence peddlers from the temple. An ostentatious executive order banning lobbyists was immediately followed by the nomination of at least a dozen current or former lobbyists to high position].”

“[….yet more damaging to Obama's image than all the hypocrisies in the appointment process is his signature bill: the stimulus package. He inexplicably delegated the writing to Nancy Pelosi and the barons of the House. The product, which inevitably carries Obama's name, was not just bad, not just flawed, BUT A LEGISLATIVE ABOMINATION (my emphasis].”

“[It's the essential fraud of rushing through a bill in which the normal rules (committee hearings, finding revenue to pay for the programs) are suspended on the grounds that a national emergency requires an immediate job-creating stimulus -- and then throwing into it hundreds of billions that have nothing to do with stimulus, that Congress' own budget office says won't be spent until 2011 and beyond, and that are little more than the back-scratching, special-interest, lobby-driven parochialism that Obama came to Washington to abolish. He said.....Not just to abolish but to create something new -- a new politics where the moneyed pork-barreling and corrupt logrolling of the past would give way to a bottom-up, grass-roots participatory democracy. That is what made Obama so dazzling and new.].”

“[.....The Age of Obama begins with perhaps the greatest frenzy of old-politics influence peddling ever seen in Washington....].”

Because this is Chicago (CORRUPT) politics at its best in Washington D.C.; another 3/4 of a Trillion Dollars will be spent by the circus now running our government.

Hold your Congressional Representatives accountable; tell them we will NOT be driven by fear and panic. WE NEED A STIMULUS PLAN THAT WILL WORK….and it is not the Plan that was just approved by the Senate!!!

We need and deserve a Stimulus Plan that includes a well thought out focused and strategic approach for ending the Economic Recession. There are people in government smart and ethical enough to do this and (imho) for the most part they are not being called upon to develop a winning Plan. Pelosi and Company helped create the economic debacle and their Plan will not help the economy. Contact your Congressional Leaders and demand that they stop this runaway train; there is still time to create a successful Stimulus Plan.

  130. ChicagoBlood Says:

    Great post CarolinNJ,

I read that article, a very well written analysis of the unfolding catastrophe that is the administration of “hope and change”. Another thing that needs to be screamed about loud and long are Obamas’ plans to move the Census Buruea under direct control of the White House. If this isn’t an obvious and naked power grab from an obssessed bungler…can anyone say gerrymandering and solidifying one-party control? What’s next, suspension of term limits for POTUS as has been suggested by the nutjob Democrat from NY, Jose Serrano? The silver lining I see from this is that Obama is being so obvious and incompetent about this it should lead to his downfall and hopefully drag the hopelessly corrupt DNC and MSM down with him.

    I see New Hampshire has introduced a resolution outlining their constitutional right of secession should that become necessary;

  132. To whoever runs this website, a quick examination of what you’ve posted shows that you are not a centrist person. Your views of on matters have been shown to be incorrect. I’m all for debating politics, but don’t delude yourself that you are an average patriotic american. you are not. Some of your comments border on ridiculous, the one standing out being “the media has been forcing ‘vote for obama or you’re a racist’ “, which is almost comically absurd. Yes, the thousands of newspapers and TV stations, located all across the country with hundreds of thousands of different people employed – yes that can all be called “the media.” One, coherent, thinking entity, that consciously sets an agenda to hoodwink the American people. That is retarded thinking. You really just pull the right-wing lever on all issues you mention – no creative thinking happening here at all.

  133. A sincere thank you for your efforts. It is encouraging to see that not all who dwell in Chicago have fallen for the biggest ruse in political history. I can only pray that the idealists, malcontents, schemers and dreamers who voted for this man out of some kind of ‘fashion statement’ will realize the monumental mistake they’ve made. I have a lot more to say about it but find it exasperating to find the words. Only time will expose this guy for what he really is – America’s first anti-American president.

I understand that Chicago will be having another big Tea Party on July 4th!!! Okay Ray, we need you back!!! A grassroots ground swell is happening!! We will NOT be silenced so CAO should be right at the forefront of the movement to save this great Nation from the destruction taking place in Washington, DC by our elected officials!!

Obama’s Proposals will destroy and bankrupt this Country. To help stop this debacle, Philadelphia is planning another Tea Party to Say No To Financial Ruin for April 18th (Sat.) at Independence Hall.

You too can get involved by attending upcoming Protests and/or organizing a Tea Party Protest in your Community!!! We MUST get involved and take ACTION TO SAVE This Great Nation!!! What will you say to your children and your grand kids if you sit back while the Country goes totally over the cliff and YOU could have done SOMETHING to stop this disaster in Washington!!!

Now is the time to act!!! The 1000+ PAGE Prokulus Bill” which was NOT reviewed by ANYONE IN CONGRESS BEFORE VOTING ON AND APPROVING IT has over 900+ crazy WASTEFULL earmarks and the BOGUS proposed Obama Budget is just as bad!!!!

We are talking about TRILLIONS of dollars here most of which are NOT being spent to help the economy out of the recession. Obama’s Plan will just make the economic mess worse and we will never see our Country recover if we don’t stop this run away train!!!

Write to and call your elected representatives; they need to hear from the SANE American people!!! Speak up before it is too late. April 18th (the date for the Philly Tea Party Protest) is the 234th Anniversary of Paul Revere’s famous midnight ride. What if they all had given up back then (in 1775); the USA would never have been born. The Patriots didn’t know how it was all going to turn out; they had the courage to STAND UP AND SPEAK UP and fight for this Country; how can WE DO ANYTHING LESS??

It’s time in the hour of “darkness and peril and need” to speak up and stop the destruction of our economy and our Nation!!! Long ago others awoke, listened and stood up and here is part of their story from
    “Paul Revere’s Ride,” HW Longfellow:

“[Listen my children and you shall hear
Of the midnight ride of Paul Revere,
    On the eighteenth of April, in Seventy-five;
Hardly a man is now alive
Who remembers that famous day and year.…

    .....So through the night rode Paul Revere;
And so through the night went his cry of alarm
To every Middlesex village and farm,---
A cry of defiance, and not of fear,
A voice in the darkness, a knock at the door,
And a word that shall echo for evermore!

For, borne on the night-wind of the Past,
Through all our history, to the last,
In the hour of darkness and peril and need,
The people will waken and listen to hear
The hurrying hoof-beats of that steed,
And the midnight message of Paul Revere].”

YOU are the bearer of that midnight message NOW; you carry the fate of this great Nation in your hands now; WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  137. YES I want him to FAIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love you Rush Limbaugh…..

  138. ChicagoBlood Says:

Chicago Blood: Thank you for the link (3/28) posted above. What a powerful and profound message. CAO is still my favorite site.

I can’t help but think of how the bizarre DHS Report released a few days ago on the alleged threat of “right-wing extremism” could arbitrarily list our wonderful service men and women as potential terrorist recruits. The government leaders and/or employees who produced the DHS Report should be totally ashamed of themselves.

In a 4/15, FoxNews(dot)com Article, “[Pete Hegseth, chairman of Vets for Freedom, said 'the report represents a gross misunderstanding and oversimplification of the country's service members. It's amazing they would single out veterans as a threat to this country,' said Hegseth, an Army veteran who served in Iraq.]”

Your link of this moving and accurate tribute says it all, again thank you for posting this remarkable message.

  144. ChicagoBlood Says:

    Hey Carolyn, you’re welcome!

I agree, that is a very powerful video, something that speaks profoundly for itself which is why I posted it without any commentary from me. CAO is pretty cool, I have it bookmarked and as far as the Homeland Security report goes, the irony is palpable.

The report labels as “right wing extremists” probably a large portion of the law enforcement community, those who are charged with keeping an eye out for such “extremists” and gathering from what I am aware of with law enforcement in my neck of the woods, many of which are more than likely pro second amendment, listen to talk radio and are pro-life.

Ms. Napolitano obviously lives in a very narrow, self contained, far-left ideologically driven world.

As an individual tarred with this broad brush painted over the conservative movement, I don’t own a gun. I believe in the power of the ballot box and the way the current far-left regime is operating in both the legislative and executive branches, they are going to flush themselves in the 2010 and 2012 elections. They are bungling so badly I don’t believe even ACORN could help them now.

  145. tony the pitiful copywriter Says:

I pray we never get another 9/11, because unlike the national unity we experienced on that dreadful day — when we were no longer “just” Republicans or Democrats but Americans all, I fear that today’s Republicans will continue their “party-before-country” obsession much to their peril and ours. Show some damn respect. Politics is about winning…and losing elections.

Since 1973 my candidates have lost more often than won. You don’t see me moving to some idiotic foreign country, do you?

I can’t believe it’s been over a 100 days later and the incessant whining hasn’t abated, nor have any credible solutions been offered. Just character assassination, outright lies, insults and spitballs from the back of the room.

I will write a letter to a Democrat and suggest the government pay to subsidize some American cheese to go with your whine.

  146. ChicagoBlood Says:

“I pray we never get another 9/11, because unlike the national unity we experienced on that dreadful day — when we were no longer “just” Republicans or Democrats but Americans all,”

Tell that to the messiah-in-chief and try to convince him that maybe it’s not such a good idea to be publicly discussing interrogation methods of captured Al-Quaida fighters and lest I forget, ANY questioning of him or his policies is both “racist” and “unpatriotic” or just “mean-spirited”.

“I fear that today’s Republicans will continue their “party-before-country” obsession much to their peril and ours.”

Just Republicans, not Democrats? Oh no, the Dems would never do that, they are far too principled. I mean, Barney Frank accepted some responsibility for the Fannie-Freddie meltdown didn’t he? He said it was going to be alright, I mean, he should know, he was head of the Banking Committee. He’s the one that should see these things coming?

    Oh, wait a minute…he didn’t? My bad.

Not to mention Chris Dodd, Charlie Rangel or any assorted cabinet appointments who FORGOT to pay their taxes? Or Nancty Pelosi who swore up and down she was never briefed on interrogation methods until it was proven otherwise?

Please. I’m not all enthusiastic about the Repubs as I once was because it seems that a sizeable portion of them want to be more like Democrats.

    “Show some damn respect.”

You have to give respect in kind to earn it. The last eight years was a p**s poor showing of that.

“Since 1973 my candidates have lost more often than won. You don’t see me moving to some idiotic foreign country, do you?”

Alec Baldwin didn’t go anywhere and who’s moving to some “idiotic foriegn country” and what country would that be? Please, don’t get the messiah on another apology tour because of your poorly thought out slam here.

“Since 1973 my candidates have lost more often than won.”

You can probably give significant credit to Jimmy Carter and Howard Dean among others for that.

“nor have any credible solutions been offered”

Credible solutions would be most unwelcome in this current political regime. Such solutions would endanger the current monopoly of political power enjoyed.

“I can’t believe it’s been over a 100 days later and the incessant whining hasn’t abated, nor have any credible solutions been offered. Just character assassination, outright lies, insults and spitballs from the back of the room.”

You can save the cheese for your own whine, you seem to have it down pretty good. Oh, wait a minute, we’re you talking about the treatment of Bush and Chaney the last eight years?

    Now it makes sense.

Try writing a letter to the government to subsidize your own whining hypocrisy, it is clearly something you excel at.

  147. Obama’s speech in Cairo is only the first step in many towards any kind of dialogue with America’s current day enemies. The speech was largely vague and lacking in detail and its effects will only really be seen from the action that follows it both in the US and the Arab world.
