Last night…Keith Olbermann shamelessly lied…again…like he always does….to imply that Sarah Palin willfully ignored a “kill him” comment towards Senator Obama at a McCain-Palin Rally…..only problem is…Palin wasn’t at the rally yet….Olbermann decided to leave that fact out (full story HERE)

My take….

All I can say about this, personally, is that the McCain/Clinton alliance is under-estimated and under-reported.

At this point…the most ardent McCain supporters I know….are the people who know Obama the best…..Chicago Democrats…..

Tonight I will be attending a debate watching party in Downtown Chicago…

At the party will be many Democrats and many Republicans…….many white people and many minorities….many straight people and many gay people……many rich people and many poor people….many young people and many old people…..

Don’t believe the media hype…..

McCain’s support is deep and diverse…..

It’s time to be proud of supporting the only candidate who has actually done something…..who has actually stood up to his own party……who has actually fought for his country…..

As a Chicagoan, I know just how little Obama has done….his former state senate district is a sad mess…..a downtrodden place, plagued with violence, drugs, slumlords, religious zealots, and political corruption…..

While it is true that Barack Obama did not create this mess…….it is also true that he has done nothing to stop it, fight for it, or bring national attention to it….

Again, do not believe the media hype…

Even more, do not let the media think for you….

Chris Matthews, Keith Olbermann, David Gergen, Wolf Blitzer, Roland Martin, Tom Brokaw, Katie Couric, Charlie Gibson, Brian Williams, Andrea Mitchell, Campbell Brown, etc, etc….are out of touch dolts, who all went to the same 5 schools, go to the same parties, work out at the same gyms, drive the same types of cars, live in the same neighborhoods, go to the same churches and synagogues, read the same periodicals, go to the same websites, own the same stocks, have the same stock brokers, eat at the same restaurants, wear the same clothes, and date the same people…..is it any wonder they all think the same?…..

never once have they left their studios for the streets of the South side of Chicago…..Alaska, yes……Chicago, no (maybe the North side, or the Miracle Mile, but never Obama’s neighborhood)

why is this?

Do they not care about minorities being exploited, killed, and ignored?….

Do they really think a trooper being fired is more important than 123 people being slain to death, in a 6-mile radius, over a 3-month period this summer?

Do they really think a high school student (Bristol Palin) getting pregnant, is a bigger story than 27 school-children being killed in Chicago’s schools?

Do they really want to compare trooper gate to rezko gate?….I don’t think so….

So with 3-weeks left…..don’t just vote for John McCain…

Tell others you are voting for John McCain….

Don’t be afraid to say it out loud…

If someone wants to play the race card on you….just remember the stats……123 people (primarily minorities) died in Obama’s neighborhood this summer….27 Chicago public school children (primarily minorities) died last school year……..

unlike Senator Obama, you care about this, and want to bring attention to this….

to not do so……is racist…

THIS article, in The New Republic, is fascinating.

The initial focus of the article is centered on the Obama campaign’s assault of NY Times Chief Political Correspondent Adam Nagourney. Apparently, the Obama campaign went after Nagourney, publicly, after they became irritated by the latest NY Times poll, and Nagourney’s subsequent article entitled, “Poll Finds Obama Isn’t Closing Divide on Race.”

As the article continues on….one recurring theme keeps emerging……the Obama campaign is continuing to become less transparent….they are continuing to tighten the reigns, and not let the media examine the Junior senator.

Here are some notable passages and quotes from the article:

“I’ve never had an experience like this, with this campaign or others,” Nagourney tells me. “I thought they crossed the line. If you have a problem with a story I write, call me first. I’m a big boy. I can handle it. But they never called. They attacked me like I’m a political opponent.”

Reporters are grumbling more and more that the campaign is acting like the Prom Queen. They gripe that it is “arrogant” and “control[ling],” and the campaign’s own belief that Obama is poised to make history isn’t endearing, either. The press certainly helped Obama get so far so fast; the question is, how far can he get if his campaign alienates them?

In June, there was something of a revolt after Obama ditched the press corps on his campaign plane for a secret meeting with Clinton at Senator Dianne Feinstein’s house in Washington, leaving the reporters trapped on the flight to Chicago. The D.C. bureau chiefs of half a dozen news organizations, including the late Tim Russert, sent an angry letter to Obama aides Robert Gibbs and David Plouffe and threatened not to reimburse the campaign for the cost of the flight. “The decision to mislead reporters is a troubling one,” they wrote. “We hope this does not presage a relationship with the Obama campaign that is not based on a mutual respect for the truth.” After the incident, the press corps decided that one pool reporter would keep Obama in sight at all times. “It’s a body watch,” one reporter jokes.

Obama’s press liaison, Robert Gibbs, has built a particularly large reservoir of ill will. David Mendell, who covered Obama’s Senate campaign for the Chicago Tribune and authored the 2007 Obama book From Promise to Power, wrote about Gibbs as “the anti-Obama” and described him as “Obama’s hired gun, skillfully trained to shoot at reporters whose coverage was deemed unfair. Mendell tells me, “if [Gibbs] feels you’re necessary to achieve a campaign goal, he will give you access and allow you in. But, if he feels you’re not going to be of help, he can just ignore you.”

One reporter sniffs that Gibbs, a native Alabaman and veteran of John Kerry’s 2004 campaign, is the “communications director who doesn’t communicate.”

AND, THE MOST DISTURBING QUOTE OF ALL:

Reporters who have covered Obama’s biography or his problems with certain voter blocs have been challenged the most aggressively. “They’re terrified of people poking around Obama’s life,” one reporter says. “The whole Obama narrative is built around this narrative that Obama and David Axelrod built, and, like all stories, it’s not entirely true. So they have to be protective of the crown jewels.” Another reporter notes that, during the last year, Obama’s old friends and Harvard classmates were requested not to talk to the press without permission.

ACCORDING TO ANDREA MITCHELL: IN IRAQ AND AFGHANISTAN, THE OBAMA CAMP IS ENFORCING UNPRECEDENTED CENSORSHIP…… THE NEWS WE ARE RECIEVING COULD BE CONSIDERED “FAKE”

Today on Hardball, Ms. Mitchell explains that the Obama camp has kept the media far away from the Senator, while he has been on the ground in Iraq and Afghanistan…….Mitchell goes on to say that this level of media censorship is unprecedented……and she concludes by stating that the, Obama related, news coming out of Iraq/Afghanistan is so filtered…….that some may call it “fake”…..

Is Barack Obama’s inaccessibility starting to bite him?…probably not

But it has got to be a little annoying for the, Obama worshiping, main stream media….and it certainly goes against the narrative of transparency that Obama preaches…….

If you’re a journalist, and you want to talk to McCain….you simply jump on his bus, and he’ll answer any question……

If you’re a journalist, and you want to speak with Obama…….you better not work for Fox News..or the New Yorker…….if you pass that test…..you schedule an appointment…..have his campaign pre-screen your questions….they will review them with their team of 300 people….and then Obama will regurgitate the campaigns provided answers…..
